Reform groups criticize the American prison system for being too punitive. But recent rehabilitative efforts are trying to change that. The Cook County Department of Corrections offers a program in which selected inmates take cooking classes with Chef Bruno Abate of Chicago's Tocco Restaurant. Medill Newsmakers host Katie Schubauer discussed Chef Abate's initiative to help prisoners make a transition to life after their release.
